About Technology Awareness DaY

The Northeastern Regional Information Center holds an annual Regional Technology Awareness Day ADay2007for the K-12 school community in our service area   which covers 12 counties, seven BOCES and 137 school districts. This event brings together numerous stakeholders in the advancement of educational technology: school superintendents, building principals, school business officials, technology coordinators, teachers and, most importantly, students. When assembled, these groups are given the opportunity to demo new educational technology products, watch presentations from different school districts, and attend information sessions facilitated by NERIC staff to gather ideas for applying technology in classrooms and school operations. This year, the 21st annual Technology Awareness Day will be held at the Desmond Hotel in Albany. There are a series of approximately 30 breakout sessions running for 40 minutes each along with a keynote/endnote speaker. The event culminates with a gourmet buffet lunch provided by The Desmond.
