Data Warehouse
The Data Warehouse serves over 200 public and non-public school districts and helps them prepare and submit various data to the State Education Department to meet requirements for the No Child Left Behind Act.
Services:
Data Warehouse (CoSer 604-7710): Using the eScholar state-standardized Data Warehouse solution, information from multiple student information systems will be integrated into a single data repository, from which districts will have real-time, direct access to a comprehensive district profile. NYSSIS Unique Student ID System will also be incorporated into the Data Warehouse for statewide tracking. The service will provide districts with an accurate and consistent means for importing and reporting assessment results. NERIC staff will work with a school representative to transition the district’s data into the warehouse in a prescribed, standard format. Subscribers of NERIC-supported student information systems, which have approved eScholar data extracts, will have an assurance that data is available for import in the standard format. System maintenance, technology upgrades and system backups are also included as part of this service. Any future data domains, such as attendance, discipline and local assessments and any associated reports will be included as they become available.
Data Warehouse-Onsite Coordination (CoSer 604-7710): This service assists districts with the organization, preparation and maintenance of student and testing data and systems analysis. It provides in-district personnel and support related to the SED regional Data Warehouse, including student information systems, testing and instructional data and special education information.
